Our Commitment is Our Strength

Supporting the Maritime Industry since 2011

Mission

To foster future maritime professionals by promoting and supporting maritime related education through financial assistance, events, and initiatives.

History

From its founding in 1984, the Connecticut Maritime Association (CMA) has always supported maritime-related education. In recent years, the CMA Education Foundation has distributed approximately $50,000 per annum in the form of scholarships and internship subsidies.

Funding

The Foundation was initially funded with seed money generously provided by the CMA. In order to achieve self-sufficiency, the Foundation actively solicits additional funding (individual and corporate) from the maritime industry and its supporters.
